Our charming Estate

We are situated a short 35 minute drive north of Bloemfontein, near Glen. Our charming Estate is easily accessible from the N1. Close enough to amenities, yet far enough from the city, Sandstone Sleeper Estate offers a unique combination of convenient location and countryside tranquillity to ensure the perfect getaway for you and your guests.

With a variety of exceptionally well designed facilities, we can cater to all your needs, whether it is an overnight stay, an intimate wedding, a corporate function, a conference, a boat cruise, or a huge bash. We have everything you need to make it a huge success.

Situated on the banks of the Renosterspruit are our Sandstone, Sleeper, and Thatch rooms, comfortably equipped with everything your delegates might need during their overnight stay.

A countryside wedding venue in Bloemfontein, for romantic weddings and corporate functions, with excellent service. Sandstone Sleeper Estate is situated on a tranquil estate with beautiful gardens and an exquisite ambience on the banks of the Renosterspruit, a short 30 minutes’ drive north of Bloemfontein, near Glen, and is easily accessible from the N1.

Sandstone Sleeper Estate accommodation and wedding venue is based outside of Bloemfontein and is set against a beautiful section of countryside with manicured gardens and breathtaking views.

When you book our ensuite event accommodation in Bloemfontein for your wedding, function, conference, or party, you can rest assured that your guests will be treated to clean, comfortable rooms.

Sandstone Sleeper Estate is a bed and breakfast facility with a wide range of room choices from our honeymoon suite, single rooms, and family rooms.

After spending your first night in our tranquil countryside, you will be treated to a delicious breakfast prepared by our professional catering staff in our clean and fully equipped kitchen.

Since our accommodation is located on the property, your guests will be within walking distance from all our facilities, which is ideal for weddings. conferences and functions.

Conferences

Sandstone Sleeper Estate takes pride in offering a range of venues and facilities to suit your wedding, conference, function or event. It is advisable to supply us with as much information as possible so that we can fully provide your every need!

We have 6 conference rooms available for conferencing, team building and think tanks, accommodating between 20 and 250 delegates. A full day conference commences at 08H00 and finishes at 17H00. The half-day conference will end with a buffet style lunch at 13H00.

The menu choices will be pre-selected by the client or ourselves. Please note that the client has to brief Sandstone Sleeper Estate on audio-visual requirements before the conference.

Guest relaxation

Functions

We request that our clients brief us in full about any function regarding their requirements, as we customise each function according to your needs. We will stock our bar according to your function design this may include either a cash bar, a full bar or a wine and malt bar option. Clients are welcome to set a spending limit on the total bar spend for their accounts. Our management team will gladly assist you, by advising how to save and control bar expenses. We do not allow any private alcohol on our premises for consumption unless arranged with special consent prior to your event with the management of Sandstone Sleeper Estate.

The provision of Sandstone Sleeper Estate’s standard furniture and equipment can be used free of charge. If you should require any additional decor or furniture then this can be arranged by us at an additional cost.

Sandstone Sleeper Estate is ideal for hosting your wedding, wedding anniversaries, corporate functions, conferences, product launches, executive brand functions, lifestyle events, birthday celebrations, expos, food and wine tasting events, Matric farewells, end of year functions, and roadshows.

Sandstone Sleeper Estate offers a bed and breakfast option for your guests. After a night spent in the tranquil countryside, we will treat them to a delicious breakfast prepared by our professional catering staff in the clean and well equipped on site kitchen.

Since the accommodation is located on the property, your guests can easily walk to the venue for the day’s proceedings.

Sandstone Sleeper Estate offers twenty four double rooms equipped with either single beds or a king size bed.

Two rooms can accommodate four guests.

Charming wedding

Chapel

Sandstone Sleeper Estate is a picturesque and charming wedding venue located in Bloemfontein, South Africa.

The estate boasts a tranquil and serene environment, with lush gardens and breathtaking views of the surrounding hills. The main attraction of the venue is the beautiful sandstone and glass chapel on the banks of the Renosterspruit, which provides a stunning backdrop for any wedding ceremony. The River Chapel can accommodate 250 guests.

Sandstone Sleeper Estate also has a Free State country style chapel built with sandstone, sleepers, and thatch roof, and can accommodate 120 guests.

The two beautiful chapels come complete with Tiffany chairs, a podium, and a beautiful sleeper signing table.

Wedding Venue Bloemfontein

We understand that this is a remarkable event for you, and we want to reassure you that at the Sandstone Sleeper Estate wedding venue, we will do everything possible to make sure that the planning and execution of your wedding goes as smoothly and successfully as it can!

Our River reception hall is spacious, elegant, and constructed from sandstone and glass, located on the banks of the Renosterspruit, providing plenty of room for guests to enjoy dining and dancing throughout the night.

Our Thatch Roof Hall features a Free State country style, made from sandstone, sleepers, and topped with a thatch roof, all nestled among our lush gardens and offering stunning views of the surrounding hills.
